Silent Theatre Laboratory Presents its first play 'Susmitha & Nestlings' About play: The Silent Theatre Laboratory presents the first production of its 2011 - 2012 season, Poornachandra Tejesvi's Susmitha & Nestlings, directed by Vidya V Ulithaya (Clutter: Based on True Story of the Poornachandra Tejesvi) Susmith & Nestlings is 90 mins play, will be staged on Thursday and Friday, April 14th at & 15th At 7:00pm in K.H. Kalasoudha, Behind Abminaya Taranga/Bimba Hanumanth and inside the compound of Ramanjaneya Temple. Through this play we want to show the Tejesvi's experiences about the nature(Aquatics, Reptiles, birds & mammals) this play is specially designed for kids above 5 years, In this play there is use of mime, bale, Kalari, this play would be a platform for the kids to learn the nature's complications. Silent theatre laboratory (STL) was created for the sole purpose of setting a standard of professionalism, creativity and excellence in the performing arts. Susmitha & Nestlings (translation of K. P.Poornachandra Tejesvi's 'Susmitha Mattu Hakkimari') play is a major part of this initiative. Susmitha & Nestlings is a vibrant, entertaining, and fun family play that carries with it a positive message of community building and cultural diversity. For the first time in India STL is adopting a mime, bale, kalari into the talky stage play. Mime Influenced by the silent film stars like Chaplin and Keaton, Marceau who was the architect of a totally new style and tradition, the true creator and master of modern mime as we understand it today. | ||
